At Heart Hospital of Lafayette we're changing the way cardiovascular care is provided. We're making it more personal and less scary. Our approach to care and service is a little different. Every patient is assigned a room at admission, and that room becomes home throughout their stay, even after surgery. In a typical hospital you may come in contact with 60 or more caregivers before you go home. Here, a patient care team, usually made up of six to eight clinicians, will be assigned to you and follow you for the duration of your stay. This promotes bonding and continuity of care.

  • Each patient room is private and equipped to meet the needs of heart and vascular patients.
  • Family members are allowed 24-hour access to the patient whenever possible. A sleeper bed has been incorporated into every room to accommodate an overnight visitor.
  • Nursing pods are located near each patient room and our nurse-to-patient ratio is one of the best in the country. This means someone will be nearby when you need help.
  • The floor plan of the hospital is simple and easy to navigate. Family members can find their way around the hospital with confidence.
